10 killed in floods in Meghalaya – NNSP

New Delhi . 10 people have died in 24 hours due to floods following heavy rains in South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. Of these, 7 people belonged to the same family. After this a landslide occurred in Gasuapara. At the same time, due to heavy rains in Nepal, there is a flood like situation in more than 20 villages in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. About 50 thousand people are affected by this. Schools, colleges and roads of these villages have also been submerged. In Gorakhpur also, 29 villages are submerged in floods.
On the other hand, in Ludhiana, Punjab, the Durga pandal collapsed due to the storm that came late on Saturday night. Due to this, 2 women died, while 15 people were also injured. The idol of Lord Shiva in the temple was broken due to the collapse of the pandal. There are also reports of trees and electric poles falling at many places during the storm.
