Jakarta. An eruption at Mount Leotobi Laki-Laki volcano on Indonesia’s eastern island of Flores on Monday killed 10 people. The volcano erupted for about 24 minutes. After this, it exploded several times throughout the night and at around 6 in the morning, a cloud of ash was seen rising to a height of 300 meters.
Dozens of earthquakes also occurred due to the volcanic eruption. At present, the Indonesian government has expressed fear of more aftershocks. 10 thousand people living in 7 villages have suffered losses due to the volcanic eruption. During this time many houses were also burnt to ashes. People said that after the explosion it seemed as if balls of fire were falling on the houses. They left their house and started running here and there. The administration has advised people to stay away from a radius of 7 kilometers of the volcano.
