Union Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Shah has set a target of winning 10 seats and 35 percent vote percentage in Telangana in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
According to party sources, the Home Minister made this claim in a meeting held with BJP divisional presidents in Telangana on Thursday. He said the Bharat Rashtriya Samiti (BRS) and the ruling party Congress are a sinking ship. BJP is the future of Telangana.
To boost the morale of the workers, when the party got the third position in the Telangana Assembly elections, he said that in Gujarat, before emerging as a big party and coming to power, the BJP used to get only ten percent of the votes.
According to sources, the Home Minister told the party workers that you will have to work hard. Referring to the party’s election symbol lotus, he said that ten lotuses should bloom here.
It is known that there are total 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. BJP had won four seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. BJP got about 20 percent votes in the elections. BRS got nine seats and Congress three seats.

Home Minister Shah said, some people are surprised about my visit after BJP’s defeat in Telangana Assembly elections. He said, he will continue to tour Telangana until the BJP government is formed in the state.
He asked the party members to keep exposing the corruption of the Congress government. Attacking BRS and Congress over corruption, he said, the government may have changed in the state but the people have not got its benefits.
Worship at Bhagyalakshmi Temple
Before the meeting with the workers, the Home Minister offered prayers at the Bhagya Lakshmi temple located near Char Minar.
During this time, Union Minister and State BJP President G Kishan Reddy was also with him.
After the meeting, BJP Rajya Sabha MP K Laxman said that the Home Minister has drawn a blueprint to win more than ten Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
The state BJP said that BJP workers will give their all to make the party win ten seats.
