At least 100 rounds were fired outside a music recording studio in Toronto, Canada. 23 people were arrested and 16 firearms, including two assault-style rifles, were seized in the shooting that happened late Monday night. The area where the firing took place has studios of Punjabi musicians in the city.
Toronto police were conducting an unrelated bail-related investigation when the violence broke out around 11:20 p.m. A stolen car stopped near a recording studio, three men got out and fired at the studio and people nearby. Toronto police responded by saying members of a rival group allegedly opened fire.
Whose conspiracy is it?
Police is investigating who is behind this firing incident. This incident is said to have happened about three days ago.
Toronto Police Deputy Chief Lauren Pogue said in response to the attack that plainclothes officers traveling in an unknown vehicle were caught in the crossfire and escaped unhurt despite their vehicle being attacked several times.
The attacker fled from the spot
Police immediately responded to the attack, using their unmarked vehicle to put boxes in the stolen car; they captured one of the gunmen after a short chase. However, two suspects managed to escape in this case and are still missing.
Videos that surfaced before the shooting showed several people dancing with modern firearms. Following the arrest, the area was searched, leading to the seizure of 16 firearms hidden in the surrounding area. Authorities recovered several weapons left behind by the fleeing suspects and others hidden on the rooftop, inside the recording studio, and even in nearby trash bins. These firearms included several handguns and two high-powered rifles.
