180 people still missing in Wayanad tragedy, rescue operation continues

The death toll in this accident has now increased to more than 380. There is still no information about 180 people, they are being searched. At the same time, schools were opened seven days after this tragedy, but the influx of students is still low.

The Kerala government has started taking blood samples of survivors and relatives for DNA testing to identify the missing people. The Civil Supplies Department has also started collecting details of ration cards, Aadhaar cards and linked phone numbers to identify the missing people.
More than two thousand five hundred people including 599 children and six pregnant women have taken shelter in relief camps in Wayanad district. Giving information, officials said that according to the latest data released by the CMO, 16 relief camps have been set up for the landslide affected people in Meppadi and other Gram Panchayats of Wayanad district. According to the data, 2,514 people from 723 families have taken shelter in these relief camps, including 943 men, 972 women and 599 children. Six pregnant women are also staying in the relief camps.
