2 more accused arrested in Baba Siddiqui murder case – NNSP

Mumbai . Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested two more accused from Pune in the murder case of senior NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. These accused arrested from Pune have been brought to Mumbai, where investigation has confirmed their connection with the case. After this arrest, a total of 18 accused have been arrested so far. During the investigation it came to light that the accused were aware of their target. He had hidden weapons to carry out the murder, from which about 40 rounds of bullets have been recovered. Absconding accused Shubham Lonkar had provided weapons to both of them for use in the murder and had asked them to hide them. The Crime Branch is now interrogating these accused further so that the conspiracy behind this murder can be completely exposed.

Baba Siddiqui’s murder related to Lawrence Gang
Earlier, Mumbai Police had said that a direct link has been found between the murder of Baba Siddiqui and Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The Crime Branch had given this information to the Esplanade Metropolitan Magistrate Court. According to this, jailed gangster’s brother Anmol Bishnoi had entrusted the task of recce of Siddiqui’s Bandra West house, office and the office of his son Zeeshan Siddiqui. 32-year-old Sujit Sushil Singh was arrested from Punjab. Singh was arrested in a joint operation between Punjab Police and Mumbai Police. After this he was handed over to Mumbai Police. Police custody remand of Sujit Singh was demanded from the court. Police said he was in touch with Anmol Bishnoi.

Seven shooters of Bishnoi gang arrested
The Special Unit of Delhi Police, while taking action against Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had arrested 7 shooters, who were planning to target the relative of a former Rajasthan MLA. In a separate but related incident, Delhi Police arrested Lawrence Bishnoi and another member of the Kala Jathedi gang, officials said. Arms and ammunition recovered from his possession. This arrest comes a few days after the sensational murder of Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai on October 12.
