Haryana Police has claimed that since the beginning of the Farmers Movement 2024, two policemen have died and many are injured.
A statement in this regard has also been issued by the police on Thursday. The special thing is that there is an uproar after the death of a farmer during the farmers’ movement. Farmers are continuously protesting regarding this.
1 policeman suffered brain hemorrhage
According to the statement issued by Ambala Police, ‘From 13th February 2024, continuous efforts are being made by the farmers’ organizations to break the barricades installed on the Shambhu border in connection with the march to Delhi by the farmers and to disturb the law and order by pelting stones and creating ruckus on the police administration. Efforts are being made every day.
During this period, a lot of damage has been caused to government and private properties by the miscreants. During this agitation, about 20 police personnel got injured, 1 police personnel suffered brain haemorrhage and two police personnel died.
Preparation for planting Rasuka
Police has informed through an official statement that NSA i.e. National Security Act will be imposed on farmer leaders.
According to the statement, ‘Under Section 2(3) of the National Security Act 1980 (NSA Act), to prevent criminal activities and maintain law and order, the administration is implementing the process of arresting officials of farmer organizations. During the movement, law and order should be maintained and social harmony should not be disturbed.
Loss of government property will be recovered from farmer leaders
Preparations are being made to recover the damage caused to government property during the movement from the farmer leaders.
According to another statement issued by Ambala Police, ‘The administration had already informed/alerted the general public in this regard that during this movement, government and private property was damaged by the agitators, so they will be compensated for this loss. This will be done by seizing the property and bank accounts.
The agitation was stopped for two days on Wednesday after a protestor was killed and 12 policemen were injured in Khanauri.
According to media reports, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher had told journalists that a decision regarding further strategy would be taken on Friday evening.
