Railways has given a big gift to the passengers preparing to go home for Diwali and Chhath Puja.
It is reported that Western Railways has announced to run 200 special trains. At the same time, operation of more than 100 trains is being started on Tuesday.
The entry of these trains is expected to be of great benefit to the passengers reaching Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha.
Indian Railways has said that more than 120 trains are to be run on Tuesday. Of these, 40 trains will be managed by Mumbai Division.
The special thing is that these include 22 trains which are especially going to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Bengal and Odisha.
Railways says that these special trains will run along with regular trains, in which extra coaches will be installed.
Western Railway CPRO Vineet Abhishek said, ‘This is our commitment to meet the increasing demand of passengers in this time.’
“We are closely monitoring these additional services at the division and headquarters level, including senior officials,” he said. In this, the waitlist of the train is also being checked in real time.
The deployment of RPF and GRP personnel has been increased for crowd management as well as for smooth movement of passengers.
Railway officials are deployed round the clock to monitor the situation and manage the crisis. Every year a large number of people from across the country go to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for Diwali and Chhath Puja.
Big announcement of North Western Railways also
Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, Captain Shashi Kiran said on Monday that in view of the additional passenger load on the occasion of festivals like Diwali, Chhath Puja etc., 47 special trains are being operated by the Railways.
47 special trains are being operated to Delhi, Mumbai Bandra Terminus, Tirupati, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Hyderabad, Okha and many other major places.
Along with this, after reviewing the passenger load, a temporary increase of 145 coaches has been made in total 68 trains so far. Apart from this, efforts are being made to temporarily increase the number of coaches in other trains as per the availability of coaches.
On Monday, Eastern Railway also informed that 50 special trains are being run for Diwali and Chhath Puja. There are also preparations for 400 additional services.
Eastern Railway Public Relations Officer Kaushik Mitra has informed that this time the number of special trains has been increased from 33 to 50.
