Illegal storage of 150 cubic meters of sand seized at four sites, action taken against six highways carrying illegal transportation of mineral.
Raid on mines of Mineral and Revenue Department
Taking joint action, the team of Mineral and Revenue Department raided several mines simultaneously today.
A total of 4 low grade limestone mines located in Masturi of Bilaspur district were inspected by the team.
By the team M/s GS Minerals, Prof. Sanjay Pawar Village Kosamdih Masturi, Daulatram Bidhani Village Masturi, M/s Bilasadai Minerals, Prof. Sanjay Chhaparia Village Masturi, M/s Kanhaiya Minerals Prof. Prakash Chanani village Mohtara was inspected.
During the inspection, the team asked these four mine owners to submit registers and other necessary documents related to environmental clearance and inward and outward movement.

But they did not submit any documents in this regard, due to which these four mines have been sealed till further orders.
A case was registered against illegal storage of sand amounting to 150 cubic meters by the Mineral Department at 4 mineral sand sites located at Lachhanpur and Pandarwa in Bilha development block.

In the same sequence, state level Mineral Flying Squad teams also inspected various areas of Bilaspur district and seized a total of six Haiwa vehicles involved in illegal transportation of minerals.
A case has been registered against them and the vehicles have been kept in the custody of various police stations in the district.
