5 medical students lost their lives in car-bus collision in Alappuzha – NNSP

Kerala. A Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with a car in Alappuzha, Kerala on Monday night. Five youths traveling in the car died in this accident. All were MBBS students. According to the police, the accident occurred near Kalarcode at around 10 pm.

The report quoted police sources as saying that the car was completely damaged due to the collision and the people sitting in it were taken out after breaking the vehicle.

The deceased were MBBS students in the government medical college.
Police said that the deceased have not been identified yet. It is being told that all of them are MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) students of Government Medical College. Police said that there were seven people in the car, out of which five died. Two other passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries.

Police said that vehicular traffic on the road has been affected after the accident, although the reason is not yet known.
