Eight Afghan fighters, including two commanders, have been killed in a bloody conflict between the Pakistani army and Afghan fighters.
16 more Afghan fighters are reported to have been injured in this incident that took place in Jaju Maidan area of Kosht province of Afghanistan. This area falls on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region connects from here. This is the second major clash between the Pakistani army and the Afghan Taliban in the last one week.
This incident has been confirmed by the Pakistani media, while a statement issued by Afghanistan said that firing was started from across the border without any reason, due to which many local residents died and they had to flee from their place.
On this incident, Pakistan says that the clash started when the Taliban was trying to illegally set up a check-point on the border.
When we tried to stop them, they started firing without any reason. After this, we also had to respond and in the clash, eight Taliban fighters including their two commanders Khalil and Jan Muhammad were killed.
The border became deserted, people migrated to safer places
Due to these frequent clashes, the Pak-Afghan border has become deserted. The people living here have left this place in search of a safer place due to these fights.
According to local residents of Jaji Maidan, two people including a woman were killed in the recent clash while 11 others were injured.
According to him, there was continuous firing from both sides. Many bullets are still embedded in the walls of our houses. Nobody knows what will happen next.
The video of this incident is also going viral on social media. In the video, heavy firing can be seen in this area.
Continuing unrest on Pak-Afghan border
There is constant firing from both sides on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. This border has been a headache for Pakistan ever since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan.
Because the Taliban does not accept this border. There are 18 commercial border crossings between these two countries. Of these, Chaman and Torkam are the busiest.
But due to these continuous fighting, the Torkam border has been closed for the last three days. Afghanistan has said that it is investigating whether the Pakistan Air Force has violated its airspace.
Pakistan constantly accuses the Afghan Taliban of supporting the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, which spreads terror in Pakistan.
This TTP spreads terror in Pakistan and like the Afghan Taliban, wants to impose Taliban rule in Pakistan too.
