According to the information, last Monday in Varanasi, a woman had fallen in the Argha of Kashi Vishwanath Temple and then male devotees also fell on her. Following the investigation report of Varanasi’s Assistant Police Commissioner (Security), 8 policemen have been suspended.

Taking cognizance of which, investigation was conducted by Assistant Police Commissioner (Security) Amit Kumar Srivastava. Their investigation found that on the day of the incident, a large number of visitors had come to the sanctum sanctorum after the Saptarishi Aarti. Due to the depth of the Argha in the sanctum sanctorum, the female visitor had fallen into it due to loss of balance while doing Sparsh Darshan.
