After Kerala, now the new variant of Corona JN.1 has been confirmed in two more states. With this, Corona cases in India have doubled within nine days.

After Kerala, 19 cases of the new variant have been detected in Maharashtra and Goa. Out of these, one case is from Maharashtra, while 18 cases are being reported from Goa.

Corona cases in the country have increased to close to 2 thousand. Whereas on December 11, Corona cases were 938. The Center has expressed deep concern over the return of the epidemic. Today, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is going to hold a meeting with the ministers of all the states on this issue.

This new variant of Corona, JN.1, is currently wreaking havoc in America, China and Singapore. A large number of people are falling ill.

The beds in hospitals are also full. Singapore has even advised people to wear masks in public places. On the other hand, WHO has classified this new variant and put it in the category of ‘Variant of Interest’.

However, the World Health Organization said in a statement on Tuesday that corona is spreading rapidly among people due to this new variant, but the number of deaths is very less.

Therefore, instead of being afraid, there is a need to be cautious. The organization claims that the vaccine available in the markets is completely capable of defeating this new variant.

It has spread rapidly in these countries. He said that it usually shows effect after 10 days, but detection of cases depends on how many days ago the testing is done. Therefore vigilance is necessary.
