Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif once again targeted the previous governments.
Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that neighboring countries around Pakistan have reached the moon, but his country Pakistan is not able to rise above the ground.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif said, “Countries around us have reached the moon, but we are not getting up from the earth.” He was referring to India’s historical achievement. India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission successfully landed on the south pole of the Moon on 23 August 2023. India is the first and only country in the world to do this.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sharif had said that neither India nor the US was responsible for Pakistan’s destruction. “We have shot ourselves in the foot,” he said.
His target was on the powerful military officers of Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif made these comments during a conversation with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) ticket contenders.
Sharif is dreaming of becoming Prime Minister for a record fourth time. He told that he was ousted from power thrice in 1993, 1999 and 2017.
Sharif said, “India, America or Afghanistan are not responsible for the situation Pakistan is in today (in terms of the state of the economy). In reality, we have shot ourselves in the foot… They (the Army) rigged the 2018 elections and imposed an elected (government) on this country, due to which the common people were troubled and the condition of the economy deteriorated.
He criticized judges for legitimizing military dictators and said, “When they break the Constitution, judges garland them (military dictators) and legitimize their rule.” When it comes to the Prime Minister, the judges approve his removal from the post. Judges even approve the act of dissolving Parliament…why?
