News agency PTI gave information about this attack quoting AP. Police said that the attacker has been killed. “At this moment we can say that 11 people have been killed at the scene, including the gunman,” police said in a statement.

Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakusson told Czech Republic state television that the shooter had been killed.

Rakusan said there were no other attackers at the scene and no threat, but he urged people to cooperate with police.

Police said officers have been deployed to a school in Jan Palach Square due to a shooting.

The Philosophical Faculty of Charles University and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design are located in that area. The police department said the intersection has been sealed.

Police urged people to stay away from nearby roads and stay indoors.
