Photograph exhibition and poetry conference will be organized in the capital.

Cleanliness campaign will run for a week in urban bodies and panchayats from December 25.

Public representatives and general public will take a resolution to ‘establish good governance’

The birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be celebrated as Good Governance Day on 25th December in all the districts of the state. On Good Governance Day, a state level program will be held in village Bendri of Abhanpur development block of Raipur district. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will inaugurate the distribution of two years’ outstanding paddy bonus amount of Rs 3716 crore to the farmers of the state in a state level program. Ministers and public representatives including Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma will also participate in the program.

On the occasion of Good Governance Day, a photo exhibition is being organized by the Public Relations Department in the Nalanda campus of the capital. The photo exhibition will be organized from December 25 to December 31. In this photo exhibition, a glimpse will be shown of the beautiful memories of the creator of Chhattisgarh state and former Prime Minister of India Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the public welfare schemes of the Central Government in Chhattisgarh which is developing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, a poet’s conference has been organized at Deendayal Auditorium of the capital.

On Good Governance Day, programs will be organized in the district as well as in urban bodies and gram panchayats. Many competitions will be organized in urban bodies including recitation of poems of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, symposium and essay competition. On this occasion, elected public representatives and common citizens will take resolutions regarding establishing good governance. Cleanliness campaigns will be conducted regularly in urban bodies, villages and gram panchayats for the next one week from Good Governance Day.

According to the scheduled program, on the occasion of Good Governance Day in all the urban bodies of the state, the program will be inaugurated at 10 am in the Atal Chowk established in the urban bodies in the dignified presence of elected public representatives and general public. At Atal Chowk, the elected representatives and the general public will take a pledge to ‘establish good governance’ by garlanding the photograph of the former Prime Minister of India, Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and lighting the lamp.

Apart from this, Atal Sandhya will be organised. Under this, Kavi Sammelan, Atal ji’s poetry recitation, Atal Vichar Seminar, essay competition will be organised. Similarly, cleaning, necessary repairs etc. of the already constructed Atal Pillar will be done in all the Gram Panchayats of the state. Former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Late, at Atal Chowk at 10 am. After garlanding the photograph of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and lighting the lamp, a resolution will be taken to establish good governance.
