Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made clear the intentions of the government regarding CAA i.e. Citizenship Amendment Act.

He told in West Bengal that no one can stop it from being implemented. He has called it the law of the country.

He also cornered Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on this issue. The special thing is that TMC is opposing the CAA, which was passed by the Parliament in 2019.

Shah addressed members of the social media and IT unit of the state Bharatiya Janata Party at the National Library here.

Addressing a closed-door meeting, Shah said it is the party’s commitment to implement the CAA.

Shah expressed confidence that the BJP will win more than 35 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 18 seats.

The media unit of the Bengal BJP shared a list of points from Shah’s speech at the closed-door event. Later in the evening, it also shared some video clips of Shah’s speech.

He said at the party program, ‘We have to work to form the BJP government in West Bengal after the next assembly elections.

BJP government will mean an end to infiltration, cow smuggling and providing citizenship to those persecuted on religious grounds through CAA. A video clip of this was shared by the media unit of BJP.

Shah launched a scathing attack on Banerjee for misleading people on the CAA issue. He said, ‘Sometimes, she tries to mislead people, refugees whether CAA will be implemented in the country or not.

I want to say clearly that CAA is the law of the country and no one can stop its implementation. This is the commitment of our party.
