South superstar and Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) leader Vijayakanth has passed away.
It is being told that his report came Corona positive. He breathed his last at Mirat Hospital, Chennai.
The hospital issued a statement saying that he was admitted to the hospital but he died during treatment.
His mortal remains were taken home via ambulance. The party issued a statement in the matter saying that he was suffering from Corona and was kept on ventilator support in the hospital.

It is being told that his Corona report also came positive. After which he was having trouble breathing. After his health deteriorated, he was put on ventilator support by the MIOT hospital administration.
He breathed his last here on Thursday morning. 71-year-old actor-turned-politician Vijayakanth was suffering from severe cold and cough.
