Before the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the people’s choice is Bharatiya Janata Party.
He said that there is a general consensus among the public that the country does not need a ‘coalition government’, because during such governments, expectations were dashed and India’s image was tarnished in the world.
He also gave a statement on BJP bringing forward new faces as Chief Ministers of three major states Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
In an interview to India Today, PM Modi said, ‘This may seem like a fresh trend, but it is not new to the party.’
The Prime Minister said that in fact he is the best example of this tradition within the BJP. Modi said that when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he had no prior administrative experience and had not even been elected to the Assembly.
It is known that Narendra Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in the year 2001 after Keshubhai Patel. He was elected to the state legislature 4 months after being made the CM.
PM Modi said that today most of the other parties are family based parties and they find this democratic brainstorming difficult.

From local bodies in Kerala to being the main opposition party in many states, our party is doing strong work among the people.
