Hindu temple vandalized again in California, second act of Khalistan supporters in two weeks…

Another incident of vandalism in a temple has come to light in California, America.

A Hindu temple in Hayward, California has been attacked with anti-India graffiti. Khalistani supporters have put up anti-India murals outside the Sherawali Temple of Victory.

This act of Khalistanis happened two weeks after the incident of vandalism in Swaminarayan Temple in California itself. There was also theft in Shiv Durga temple in the same area.

Hindu American Foundation (HAF) has given information about the vandalism in the temple.

HAF said in a post on Twitter that they have been in contact with temple leaders as well as the Alameda Police Department as well as the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.

This latest incident reflects increasing attacks on Hindu temples in the United States, which India has strongly condemned.

Last month, anti-India and pro-Khalistan graffiti was painted on the exterior walls of a Hindu temple in California.

In the incident on December 23 last month, the word ‘Khalistan’ was spray-painted on signposts along with other offensive graffiti outside the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu temple in Newark.

Even in the latest vandalism incident, derogatory things about Khalistan and the Prime Minister of India have been written on the sign boards outside the temple.

Earlier in December, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had expressed concern over the vandalism in the Newark temple.

He had then expressed concern over this and said that extremists and separatist forces from outside India should not be given space.

He had said that our Consulate has lodged a complaint about him with the (American) government and the police there. The American government had also expressed concern over that incident.
