Ram Mandir movement was bigger than 1947, VHP leader compared it with the war of independence…

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sharad Sharma said on Friday that the movement for Ram temple in Ayodhya was bigger than the movement for the country’s independence in 1947.

The VHP leader said that lakhs of people sacrificed their lives for this movement. He said that it took almost 500 years to finalize the construction of Lord Ramlala’s temple.

He said, “Ram Mandir movement was a bigger movement than the freedom movement. Because it was a religious movement in which people related to religion, culture and history participated and took it to this stage. Lakhs of people sacrificed their lives. It took 500 years.

Therefore, it can be assumed that this was a bigger movement than 1947.” He said a total of 7,000 invitation cards are being sent for the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla to be held later this month.

It is noteworthy that ‘Ramlala’ will be consecrated on January 22 in the grand Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. Strong preparations are being made in this regard. Many well-known personalities of the country including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been invited to the program.

The VHP leader said, “Around four thousand saints and three thousand other people from the country are being invited.”

On the invitation card of the consecration ceremony, he said, “It has the picture of Lord Ramlala on its first page. Also, various dates and details of the program are also mentioned. Also, we are providing a booklet on people who played a role in the Ram Mandir movement since 1949. (It) is for the present generation, so that they can know about the veterans who were part of the movement.”

It may be noted that on November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court, while giving its verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case, had ordered the construction of Ram temple at the disputed site.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was formed for its construction.
