Once again the path has been cleared for Sheikh Hasina to become the PM in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan has also won the parliamentary elections from his party. However, despite the victory, he is not desisting from his actions.
In the new video, he is seen slapping a fan after abusing him on the cricket field.
The incident is said to have taken place during the election campaign, when Shakib slapped a person who was taking a selfie. Its video is becoming quite viral on social media.
Abu Naser Baig, chief electoral officer in Bangladesh’s western city of Magura, said 36-year-old all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has led the country in all formats of cricket, defeated his rival in his constituency by a margin of more than 150,000 votes.
There was no immediate comment from Shakib, the candidate of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ruling Awami League party.
Shakib won the election but became infamous again
Actually, Shakib is already quite infamous due to his bad behavior on the cricket field. Recently, during the One Day Cricket World Cup, he got Angela Mathews out at time out in the match against Sri Lanka.
Angela has also become the first international cricketer to be out in this manner. Shakib’s action was criticized a lot but he did not budge.
This time a new video of his is defaming him. During the elections, he gets stuck in the crowd and a fan wants to take a selfie with him. In anger, Shakib slaps the fan and pushes him aside.
Shakib got angry even during the election campaign
Even during the election campaign, he got angry in response to a question when he was asked whether he would be able to perform his duties well as a public representative and a cricket captain? He got angry at this question and asked – “Have I retired? If I have not retired, where does this question come from?”
It is noteworthy that Shakib is the only cricketer who was ranked as the number one all-rounder in all three formats of cricket simultaneously by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
He made his debut in international cricket as a batsman and all-rounder in the year 2006, when Shakib was 19 years old.
