It is reported that EaseMyTrip has taken a big decision regarding Maldives travel.

The booking service has canceled flights to Maldives. The company’s CEO Nishant Pitti wrote, ‘In solidarity with our country, EaseMyTrip has suspended all flights to Maldives.’

Former minister Ahmed Mahloof said on Sunday that the ongoing campaign will have a significant impact on the Maldives. He also said that it will be very difficult to recover from the loss caused by this.

He wrote, ‘I am deeply concerned about the rise in cases of making sensitive comments against our closest neighbour. Boycott of Maldives by Indians will have a huge impact on our economy.

It will be very difficult for us to recover from such a campaign. I appeal to the government to take immediate action and resolve this issue as soon as possible.

He further wrote, ‘India will always be our closest neighbour. This is true. We love India and Indians. They are always welcome in Maldives.

As a common citizen of Maldives, I apologize for the comments made by some Maldivians about Indians and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
