The objectionable statement of a minister in Maldives’ Mohammed Muizzoo government on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not being accepted by anyone.
Even though PM Modi has not said anything in this entire matter, the Maldives government is being condemned all over the world. After many celebrities, Israel has also extended its support to India.
Now former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria has also come forward to present his side on this issue. On Monday, he posted social media in support of Lakshadweep.
Amid the ongoing tension between India and Maldives, many celebrities are showing their support to Indian beaches and travel destinations.
A few days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Lakshadweep, a big controversy has arisen over the post of a Maldivian minister.
The post accused India of targeting Maldives and said that India faces a tough challenge from the island nation when it comes to beach tourism.
In response, Indians have shown their support for local beaches. Amid the controversy, former Pakistan cricket team spinner Danish Kaneria posted on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle.
Dinesh Kaneria, who has played international cricket for Pakistan, has extended his support to India. He posted on X, “Lakshadweep”. Before Kaneria, many Indian celebrities have also posted in support of Lakshadweep.
Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar shared a video and a picture from his birthday celebrations on social media.
He wrote, “It’s been over 250 days since I celebrated my 50th birthday in Sindhudurg! The coastal town was everything we wanted, and more.
Gorgeous venue with amazing hospitality left a treasure trove of memories for us. India is blessed with beautiful beaches and pristine islands. With our “Atithi Devo Bhava” philosophy, we have so much to discover, so many memories waiting to be made.”
Indian cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya also posted in support of Lakshadweep. Hardik wrote, “It is very sad to see what is being said about India.
With its gorgeous marine life, beautiful beaches, Lakshadweep is an ideal holiday destination and I will definitely visit there for the next holidays.”
