Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claims that an attempt is being made to hack his social media platform FB i.e. Facebook account.

He has also pointed towards Pakistan. Here, the police is also on alert mode after the complaint made by the Chief Minister and is preparing to start investigation.

Sarma has given this information on microblogging platform X. He posted, ‘Unknown hackers attempted to hack my Facebook account this evening.

“Preliminary information suggests that the hacker was probably working from Pakistan.” The special thing is that the number of people following Sarma on Facebook is around 20 lakh.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gyanendra Pratap Singh has also reacted to the Chief Minister’s post. In his reply post, he said that the matter will be investigated by the state CID.

Singh wrote, ‘It has been registered sir, Assam CID will register a criminal case and those involved will be investigated.’

Answer given on fake video
On Monday itself, a video was released by Sarma, in which his speech was allegedly tampered.

He wrote that an attempt has been made to tamper with his speech through a fake video. He also expressed concern over sharing of fake information with criminal intentions.
