Khichdi of 20-18-10 formula is ready in Maharashtra, then why there is a rift between Congress and Army; Also waiting for two new companions…

In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the seat distribution in Maharashtra between the constituent parties of the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi (Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) and NCP (Sharad Pawar) is in the final stages.

According to sources, a formula of 20-18-10 seats has been prepared among the three parties for distribution of 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Of these, there is talk of giving 20 seats to Congress, while 18 seats to Shiv Sena and 10 seats to NCP.

There is discussion that two new partners from the state may join INDIA Alliance and Mahvikas Aghadi. One of them is Prakash Ambedkar and the other is Raju Shetty.

If both these faces become part of the Aghadi alliance, then Congress will give them one seat each from its quota. Prakash Ambedkar’s party is Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi while Raju Shetty’s is Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathan. It is likely that both these parties will soon be a part of MVA.

There is talk that Congress may give Akola Lok Sabha seat to Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, while it is ready to give Hatkanangale seat to Raju Shetty. However, both these parties are not ready to take one seat each. It is believed that Ambekar wants equal share.

Although the formula for seat sharing among Mahavikas Aghadi is ready, there is still confusion over the distribution of seats.

There is confusion among the three parties as to which party will contest on which seat. For this reason, there is a rift between Congress and Shiv Sena.

Sources are saying that Congress is eyeing a dozen Shiv Sena seats where Shiv Sena had won in 2019 but those MPs have now joined the Eknath Shinde faction. There are 13 MPs who have gone to Shinde camp. Congress wants to field its candidates on those seats saying that Uddhav Thackeray is weak there, which is not acceptable to Uddhav.

Meanwhile, the problem for Congress is also that Prakash Ambedkar has presented a formula for all the constituent parties of Mahavikas Aghadi to contest on equal 12-12 seats.

On the other hand, Raju Shetty has also asked for four to five seats. Raju Shetty may agree to Hatkanangale seat. In such a situation, it is believed that now the leaders of the three parties will hold the final discussion on seat sharing in the India Alliance meeting in Delhi on 14 and 15 January.
