Speaking to the newspaper, Devjan K N Somayaji, Dharmadhikari of Sri Sringeri Sharda Peetham, said that once the sanctum sanctorum is completed, there should be no controversy regarding the ceremony.

“Construction is a long process,” he said. Sometimes it continues for two to three generations. However, once the sanctum sanctorum is completed, there should be no dispute over it.

This has been completed in Ayodhya. He said Modi will carry the idol of Lord Ram to the sanctum sanctorum barefoot after a long process of purification as per Hindu traditions. He also said, ‘We should not forget that he will be there as a representative of the entire country.’

what was the dispute
Recently, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati had said through a video message that none of the four Shankaracharyas will go to Ayodhya, because the consecration is taking place before the construction of the temple.

He had said, ‘Shankaracharyas should ensure that religious texts are completely followed.’ Earlier, Nischalanand Saraswati had also talked about staying away from the function.
