He said that Rajiv Gandhi had already laid the foundation stone of Ram temple as PM. At present BJP and RSS are doing politics.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said the foundation stone for the Ram temple in Ayodhya was laid when Rajiv Gandhi was the country’s Prime Minister and the BJP and RSS are doing politics on the issue.
The veteran NCP leader said this at a public meeting in Nipani, Karnataka.
The consecration ceremony of Ram temple will be held in Ayodhya on 22 January. Even before this, politics has started in the country. The Congress party has already rejected the invitation calling the function a program of BJP and RSS.
However, Rahul Gandhi definitely said that any leader of the party is free to go to the program. Now Sharad Pawar has given a statement regarding the consecration program of Ram Lalla.
“The foundation stone (laying of the first stone) was done during the tenure of Rajiv Gandhi, but today BJP and RSS are doing politics in the name of Lord Ram,” he said.
