Sources told news agency PTI, “Mahua Moitra was issued a notice to vacate the bungalow on Tuesday. Now a team of officials from the Estate Directorate will be sent to ensure that the government bungalow is vacated as soon as possible.

The Estate Directorate had issued a notice on January 8 seeking his reply within three days as to why he had not vacated his government residence. Another notice was issued to him on January 12.

The Delhi High Court had on January 4 asked the Trinamool leader to approach the Directorate of Estates with a request to allow him to continue occupying the government residence allotted to him.

Moitra was found guilty of ‘unethical conduct’ and expelled from the Lok Sabha on December 8 last year for allegedly accepting gifts from businessman Darshan Hiranandani and sharing the ‘user ID and password’ of the Parliament website with him. Was.
