Iran has become the third country to enter inside Pakistan and kill.
After America and India, now Iran carried out air strike in Pakistan.
The Iranian army on Tuesday attacked two bases of terrorist group Jaish-al-Adl in Pakistan with missiles. The action came a day after attacks by the Revolutionary Guards in Iraq and Syria.
However, Iran has not suddenly attacked Pakistan. In fact, this Shia dominated country had warned Pakistan four years ago.
Call for giving free rein to the army
For years, people in Iran have been angry against Pakistan for giving shelter to separatist elements. There was a huge protest against Pakistan in 2019.
At that time, thousands of Iranians and the commander of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, had called on former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to give free rein to his country’s army.
He had demanded that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) be given more freedom to take action against Pakistan.
In fact, the terrorist organization Jaish-al-Adl, formed with the support of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and the army, had carried out a suicide attack in Iran.
27 soldiers of the Iranian Army (Revolutionary Guards) were killed in this attack. Addressing a crowd of people gathered to mourn the death of the soldiers, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafri had demanded major action against Pakistan from the Iranian President.
Iran claims that this terrorist organization has the support of Pakistan along with the support of Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan will have to pay the price’
“The Pakistan government will have to pay the price for harboring these terrorist groups,” Jafari told mourners, according to an AFP report.
He said that there is no doubt that this price will be very high. He warned that the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer dwell on the past but will take direct action to counter such arrogance.
Not only this, at that time the Iranian commander had directly blamed Pakistan’s intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the army for providing shelter to the terrorists.
Amidst the increasing anger among the people, the Iranian President had warned the then Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.
Former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called Imran Khan in 2019 and asked Pakistan to take “action against anti-Iranian terrorists”.
Iran warned again and again
Hassan Rouhani had also warned Pakistan not to spoil relations with Iran at the behest of America, Israel as well as Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
He said that Pakistan has its own hidden interests in these countries but ‘other countries should not be allowed to spoil Iran-Pakistan relations.’
Five years after that warning, Iran’s Ebrahim Raisi government has entered Pakistan and targeted terrorists.
“Two major bases of the Jaish-al-Dhulm (Jaish-al-Adl) terrorist group in Pakistan were specifically targeted and successfully demolished,” Iranian news agency Tasnim said.
Iran has repeatedly warned that the Jaish-al-Adl terrorist group is using Pakistani soil to attack its security forces and has bases in the border town of Panjgur in Balochistan.
