Pakistan Air Force carried out retaliatory strikes on terrorists inside Iran.

Pakistani Foreign Ministry made this claim on Thursday. This action has been taken after the attack on terrorist targets carried out by Iran on Pakistani soil on Tuesday.

However, Pakistan claimed that two children were killed in the Iranian strike in south-western Balochistan province. At present, Iran has not said anything on the action taken by Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement, “The nuclear-armed nation carried out early morning strikes on terrorist targets in Iran’s Sistan-o-Baluchistan province.”

Many terrorists were killed in this.” “This action is an expression of Pakistan’s determination to safeguard its national security against all threats,” the ministry said in its statement.

The Pakistan government said on Wednesday that it has the right to respond to Iran’s illegal acts.

The nuclear-armed country has downgraded its diplomatic ties by recalling its envoy from Tehran and asking the Iranian ambassador not to return to Islamabad.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called the Pakistani Foreign Minister on Wednesday in a bid to ease tensions between the neighbours.

Iran had attacked the bases of terrorist organization Jaish al-Adl located in Balochistan province of Pakistan bordering its border.

Iran said that several terrorists were killed in it, while Pakistan said that two children were killed and three others were injured in the attack.

Jaish al-Adl is a Sunni organization that operates primarily along Shia-dominated Iran’s border with Pakistan.

It has carried out several attacks on Iranian security forces. Recently in December there was an attack on a police station in which 11 people were killed.
