Amidst the increasing fighting between the growing rebel forces and the junta-regime in Myanmar, hundreds of Myanmar Army soldiers are fleeing towards India (Myanmar Soldiers In India).

Mizoram government has alerted the central government about this development. It has also appealed to ensure that the soldiers of the neighboring country are sent back soon.

Amidst the intensifying clashes, about 600 soldiers of Myanmar Army have entered India. He has taken shelter in Langtlai district of Mizoram.

Arakan Army captured military camps

Militants from the Arakan Army (AA), an ethnic armed group, captured their camps in Rakhine in western Myanmar state, according to government sources.

He said the soldiers have been given shelter in the Assam Rifles camp. In view of the situation in Mizoram, Chief Minister Lalduhoma discussed this issue with Home Minister Amit Shah in the plenary session of the North Eastern Council meeting held in Shillong.

According to government sources, Mizoram stressed the need for the early return of Myanmar Army soldiers who have taken refuge in the state. The petition comes amid rising tensions and growing concerns about its impact on the stability of the region.

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma informed the journalists about the situation after the plenary session.

He said that people are fleeing Myanmar to our country to seek refuge and we are helping them humanitarianly.

He said that Myanmar soldiers keep coming and asking for asylum. Earlier they were sent back by air.

Mizoram CM said, around 450 army personnel were sent back. Myanmar’s generals face their biggest test since the 2021 coup.

The situation has worsened since troops were forced to flee after three ethnic minority forces attacked and captured some towns and military posts in late October.
