A case of rape of two minor girls has come to light in Odisha.
It is being told that the principal of a private school physically harassed two minor girls during the bell session.
In connection with this case, police said on Saturday that the principal of a private school in Kendrapara district of Odisha has been arrested for sexually assaulting two minor girls during school hours.
The age of the school principal is said to be 45 years.
Pradeep Pradhan, principal of Madhusudan Vidya Mandir, a private school in Kendrapara, has been arrested for sexually assaulting two class 6 and 7 girl students inside the school premises.
Police said the principal allegedly sexually assaulted two girl students at the school on January 16.
Parents were suspicious
The incident came to light when the girls refused to go to school the day after the incident, leading their parents to want to know the reason for their decision.
After being pressured by their parents, both the girls told them about the sequence of sexual harassment inflicted on them by the accused teacher.
School runs between 6.30 am and 11 am. After school, some students stay here to study for private tuition. Police said the accused principal raped both the girls after school hours.
Police registered the case
Inspector Ajay Kumar Jena of Rajnagar police station said, “The accused has been booked under IPC sections 376 (F), 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage the modesty of a woman), 506 (criminal intimidation) and sexual offenses against children. “A case has been registered under Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).” Meanwhile, medical examination of the accused headmaster has been done and he is likely to be produced in the court today.
