14 year old child died in agony, Muizzu did not allow airlift by Indian plane…

A 14-year-old boy, whom India had offered to airlift in a Dornier aircraft, died in Maldives on Saturday.

It is being told that Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu refused to approve this. This boy had a brain tumor and had suffered a stroke.

When the child’s condition became critical, his family had appealed for an air ambulance to take him from home to the capital Male. The family alleged that officials could not arrange for his immediate medical evacuation.

The statement of the boy’s father has been published in the Maldivian media. It said, ‘Immediately after the son suffered a stroke, we called Island Aviation to take him to Male, but they did not respond to our calls.

Our call was answered by them at 8:30 am on Thursday, whereas the solution to such cases is air ambulance. The boy’s father said that he was brought to Male 16 hours after appealing for emergency evacuation. Doctors could not save my child.

Ongoing tension in India-Maldives relations
Meanwhile, Aasandha Company Limited’s statement has come regarding the entire matter in which clarification has been given. It said that we started the process immediately after receiving the emergency evacuation appeal.

But, unfortunately, it could not be sent at the last moment due to technical problem in the flight. In such a situation, things could not go as per plan. The news of the child’s death has come at a time when there is tension in the relations between India and Maldives.

In fact, a few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Lakshadweep, regarding which some ministers of Maldives made derogatory comments. However, the Maldives government later distanced itself from these statements.
