A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
The following important decisions were taken in the meeting –
- The draft of the address of the Honorable Governor for the second session of the Sixth Legislative Assembly of Chhattisgarh for February-March 2024 was approved.
- The draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2024 was approved for presentation in the Assembly for the third supplementary estimate year 2023-2024.
- The draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2024 was approved for presentation in the Assembly for the budget estimate year 2024-25.
- Chhattisgarh Excise Policy for the financial year 2024-25 has been approved. It has been decided that no new liquor shops will be opened.
- The draft of Chhattisgarh Civil Court (Amendment) Bill-2024 has been approved.
In this amendment, a provision has been made to change ‘District Judge’ to ‘Chief District Judge’ and ‘Additional District Judge’ to ‘District Judge’. Similarly, a provision has been made to replace ‘Management Judge First Class’ with ‘Management Judge Senior Category’ and ‘Management Judge Second Class’ with ‘Management Judge Junior Category’ and ‘District Court’ with ‘Principal District Court’.
- It has been decided to create 5 posts of Joint Registrar (M) in the Honorable High Court Bilaspur from the contingency fund.
