Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the countrymen for the first time this year through his radio program Mann Ki Baat.
During this, he said that two days ago we all the countrymen celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great pomp.
He said, ‘This year our Constitution is also completing 75 years and the Supreme Court is also completing 75 years. This festival of our democracy further strengthens India as the Mother of Democracy.
In the first Mann Ki Baat program of 2024, PM Modi also mentioned the consecration ceremony in Ram temple. He said, ‘The occasion of Pran Pratistha in Ayodhya has tied crores of people of the country together. Everyone’s feelings are the same, everyone’s devotion is the same, Ram is in everyone’s words… Many people of the country sang Ram Bhajans and dedicated them at the feet of Shri Ram. On the evening of 22 January, the entire country lit Ramjyoti and celebrated Diwali.

PM Modi said that this time the parade of 26th January was very wonderful, but the most discussed thing was seeing the women power in the parade.
When the women contingents of Central Security Forces and Delhi Police started marching on the duty path, everyone was filled with pride. He said, ‘This time 13 women athletes have been honored with the Arjuna Award.
These women athletes participated in many big tournaments and hoisted the flag of India. In the changing India, our daughters and women of the country are doing wonders in every field.
‘Respect for those who bring big changes by connecting with the grassroots’
In the Mann Ki Baat program, PM Modi said, ‘Three days ago, the country has announced the Padma Awards, in which Padma honors are being given to those people who have worked to bring big changes in the society by connecting with the grassroots.
Away from the media, these people were engaged in social service without any limelight. I am happy that after the announcement of Padma Award, such people are being discussed everywhere.
PM Modi remembered those who received Padma awards
The Prime Minister said, ‘This time Hemchand Manjhi of Chhattisgarh has also received the Padma Award. Vaidyaraj Hemchand Manjhi also treats people with the help of AYUSH system of medicine.
He has been serving poor patients in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh for more than 5 decades. Whereas, Ms. Yanung is a resident of Arunachal Pradesh and is a herbal medicinal expert.
He has done a lot of work to revive the traditional medical system of the Adi tribe. This time he has also been given the Padma Award for this contribution.
