Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma reached here today to meet constable Naresh Markam and his family at his residence Police Housing Colony Amlidih Raipur.
There he met his family members and inquired about their well-being and also had tea with them. The constable family was overjoyed to see the Home Minister in their home.
Constable Naresh told that today his duty was imposed for VIP security. Suddenly he got information from the control room that the Home Minister was going to come to his residence.
There was an atmosphere of happiness in the entire colony. The Home Minister arrived with shawl, quince, sweets and fruits and presented them to his family members.
Constable Naresh is a resident of Dhudhitola village of Mohla-Manpur district and is currently posted in Purani Basti police station for two years.
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma said that I had come to this colony to meet a constable family, but here I met many police families.
I feel a sense of belonging by meeting the police families here. Today I have come here to meet the police personnel and their families, to know about their problems, to know whether those who provide us security have any problems.
The evils like drugs and alcohol prevalent in the society have to be eliminated. Police personnel and their families welcomed the Home Minister and told him their problems.
The residents discussed in detail the need for proper arrangements of street lights and sports grounds, regular operation of the canteen and other allowances. Police personnel said that more than 100 children from Amlidih Colony go to study in Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Government buses should be arranged for children. About 1000 families reside there. Every family has to pay one thousand rupees per month in the name of maintenance. In this regard also, proper arrangements were demanded from the government.
The Home Minister said that here among all of you, I feel as if I have come to my home. I have only one son, I will bring him sometime, there are so many children here, he will also play with everyone.
