A bomb blast took place during an election rally just nine days before the general elections in Pakistan.

Four people were killed in a bomb blast during PTI’s election rally in Balochistan. According to local reports, the dead are said to be members of Imran Khan’s party PTI.

Five others were also injured in this bomb blast. It is being told that after Imran Khan was sentenced to 10 years in jail in the cipher case, PTI had organized an election rally in support of Imran.

According to the news published in Pak media Dawn, PTI had organized an election rally in Sibi, Balochistan. This rally was organized to protest against the jail sentence of Imran Khan.

A bomb blast took place during this rally, in which 4 leaders associated with PTI were killed.

Medical Superintendent of District Headquarters Hospital in Sibi, Dr. Babar has said that the injured are being treated. Let us tell you that this incident in Pakistan happened just nine days before the general elections to be held on February 8.

The death toll may increase
According to Sibi Station House Officer (SHO) Jakaullah Gujjar, the injured people have been taken to the Civil Hospital. He said that the condition of most of the injured was serious and expressed fear that the death toll could increase.

Gujjar said that as soon as information about the incident was received, security forces reached the blast site and cordoned off the area. “A bomb disposal squad is collecting evidence from the crime scene,” he said.

On the other hand, PTI said in a statement on this development that the bomb blast took place at an election rally organized by party-backed candidate Saddam Tareen, who is contesting the upcoming elections from NA-253 (Ziyarat) constituency.

Three PTI workers were killed and seven injured in the incident, while Tareen was safe, the statement said.

“We strongly condemn this heart-wrenching incident and demand that the focus should be on silencing terrorists instead of PTI workers,” the party said in a post on social media platform X.
