ED, CBI now wipe out BJP’s opposition cell, Rahul Gandhi furious over Hemant Soren’s arrest…

After the arrest of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has attacked BJP.

Rahul has described government investigating agencies like ED, CBI, IT as BJP’s wipe out opposition cell. Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media platform

The BJP itself, steeped in corruption, is running a campaign to destroy democracy in its obsession with power.

At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also reacted to the arrest of Hemant Soren. Kharge has said that whoever did not go with PM Modi will go to jail. Kharge wrote on ‘X’, “To impose ED on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and force him to resign is a blow to federalism. Intimidating opposition leaders by making the provisions of PMLA draconian is part of the BJP’s toolkit. The BJP’s work of destabilizing the opposition governments one by one as part of a conspiracy is continuing. What went into the BJP’s washing machine is clean as white, what didn’t go is tainted? If democracy has to be saved from dictatorship then BJP will have to be defeated. We will not be afraid, we will keep fighting from Parliament to the streets.”

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was questioned by the ED for more than six hours on Wednesday in a money laundering case. After this, Soren reached Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to the Governor.

Champai Soren has been elected the leader of the legislature party, after which he can be the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand. After interrogation, Soren has been taken to the ED office in Ranchi.

Earlier in the day, Soren lodged an FIR against ED personnel regarding the searches conducted at his residence in Delhi on Monday, officials said.

Soren (48) is also the working president of the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Earlier on January 20, he was interrogated in the same case.

An officer said that the interrogation could not be completed that day. He told that Soren was interrogated for more than seven hours that day.

ED officials said Soren was questioned as part of the investigation into a ‘large racket of illegal change of land ownership by the mafia’ in Jharkhand. Meanwhile, eyewitnesses said that amidst a lot of activity, three buses reached Soren’s residence on Kanke Road at 5.30 pm.

Soon after this, Chief Secretary L Khigante and Director General of Police Ajay Kumar Singh were also seen going inside the Chief Minister’s residence.
