His 17-year-old son, Ethan Crumbly, is serving a life sentence for the November 2021 shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan. Four students aged 14 to 17 years were killed in this shooting.
A lover of the mother of the murdered boy has testified during the trial. Brian Meloche, a longtime friend of the boy’s mother, Jennifer, said the two were having an affair when Ethan carried out the school shooting.
While testifying on Thursday, she confirmed that they had an affair. According to a report, Jennifer and firefighter Chief Brian also organized sex parties in hotels.
They often sought out strangers on a swingers’ app called Adult Friend Finder and arranged “sex parties” with them at a hotel after work, the New York Post quoted government lawyers as saying. The report said that Jennifer herself admitted that she also met ‘other people’ through the app.
Earlier Thursday, prosecutors from Michigan told jurors that Jennifer Crumbley engaged in all of these actions and failed to care for her child.

They should have known that their son was becoming a threat to society and also had a gun. “The evidence tells you that she (the boy’s mother) may not have pulled the trigger, but she is responsible for those deaths,” the lawyer said.
