Violence has been going on in Manipur for the last 9 months. There are continuous reports of murder and violence coming from the state.

According to reports, more than 200 people have died so far in this violence. On Saturday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh met the Union Home Minister.

After this Singh said, the Center is going to take a big decision regarding violence-hit Manipur.

CM Biren Singh said that he discussed important issues of the state with Amit Shah. However, he did not clearly tell what is the Centre’s plan regarding Manipur and what major steps are going to be taken.

After meeting Shah, Biren Singh said on social media handle X, we discussed important matters of the state. The government has assured us of taking a big decision in the interest of the people of Manipur.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh also held discussions with senior officials of the Home Ministry at the Central Secretariat. He said that discussions were held with officials on the strategy to restore peace in Manipur.

Let us tell you that since May 3 last year, violence has been going on between the Meitei and Kuki tribal communities in Manipur. Now other communities have also joined this violence.

In the last 9 months, at least 210 people lost their lives and more than 50 thousand people had to leave their homes.

For the last few months, extremist organizations of both the communities have been attacking security personnel and policemen. In May-June last year, the militants had looted a large number of weapons from the police and security forces, which are still with them.

In such a situation, cases like ransom and robbery have also increased in the state. A senior official of Manipur government said that it is not known what big decision is going to be taken. The Chief Minister is going to return to Manipur on Sunday.
