Vice President Dhankhar praised the Khap, said – do not judge by one or two incidents…

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has given a big statement regarding Khap on Saturday.

He said, “Khap is our culture and symbolizes the depth of our civilization. It cannot be evaluated on the basis of a few isolated incidents.

Appealing to the critics, he said, “Look at the culture of Apar Khap. Go into its background. You will find that Khap is positive.”

Vice President Dhankhar said that we cannot assess this through just one or two incidents.

He was speaking at the launch of the book ‘9 Incredible Years of Haryana Government: The Emergence of a New and Vibrant Haryana’ at Surajkund Fair in Faridabad on Saturday.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Governor Bandaru Dattatreya also participated in this program.

The Vice President said that when he was called for the book launch, he did not know what was in the book. Talking about his relations with the Haryana Chief Minister, he said, “My relations with Manohar Lal Khattar are long and deep. What he has done in Haryana was never an easy task. His motto is all for the state, all for the people, nothing for himself.”

Speaking on the situation in the country, Dhankhar said, ‘Ten years ago, India was known for two things – scams and the image of a weak economy in front of the world. Look how far we’ve come.

Today we are the fifth largest economic power in the world. We have left Canada, England and France behind. In the next two-three years, India will become the third largest economy in the world, surpassing Japan and Germany. This means that corruption eats away at development. Corruption is the opposite of meritocracy.”

Vice President Dhankhar also said that when we complete 100 years of independence in 2047, India will develop and rank first in the world.

Haryana Governor Dattatreya expressed pride in the developmental changes witnessed by the people of Haryana in the last nine years. He said that because of this continuous development, future generations will always cherish these transformative moments.

The Governor said that Haryana has now emerged as one of the leading states in the country and attributed this progress to the Government’s commitment towards equitable development, corruption-free governance and transparency guided by the principle of “Haryana One – Haryanvi One”.

Addressing the gathering, CM Khattar said that the book encompasses the viewpoints of persons holding various positions in politics, education, social work, administration and judiciary.

Reflecting on his nine-year tenure, he said the government was guided by the principles of good governance and Antyodaya. It has attempted to improve the lives of the residents of the state.
