Amidst the farmers’ movement, Congress has taken a big decision regarding ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’.

It is reported that MP Rahul Gandhi has canceled the second phase of Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in Jharkhand. He has left for Delhi to join the movement.

Earlier there were reports that Congress is preparing to reduce Rahul’s visit to Western Uttar Pradesh also.

The second phase of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Jharkhand, which was to begin on Wednesday, has been cancelled.

A party official gave this information. Party sources said the program has been canceled as the senior Congress leader has left for the national capital to participate in the farmers’ protest.

The scheduled talks with MNREGA workers at Ranka in Garhwa district will now be held by senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh and other party leaders.

Gandhi was to re-enter Jharkhand via Garhwa district on Wednesday, proceeding from Chhattisgarh for the second leg of his visit to the state.

Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti told PTI, ‘As per the decision taken late on Tuesday night, all programs under ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’ have been canceled in Jharkhand.’

Shanti said it was unlikely that the Yatra would resume in Jharkhand later.

He said that Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Thakur, Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, NSUI in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar and other senior party leaders will now participate in the scheduled interaction with MNREGA workers in Ranka on Wednesday. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to participate in this program.
