The formula of manipulation is not being set, even the third meeting of Nawaz-Bilaev remained inconclusive; What will be the fate of Pakistan…

It has been nine days since the results of Pakistan’s general elections came out but still no decision has been taken regarding government formation.

No party has been proven to have majority in the results of the general elections, hence efforts are on to form a coalition government there. Talks between Nawaz Sharif’s party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s party Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) regarding the power-sharing formula for the coalition government remained inconclusive.

Both sides, however, claimed significant progress in the discussions. This information has been given in a news.

The third meeting between the Contact and Coordination Committees (CCC) of the two parties on Saturday remained inconclusive and both decided to hold another meeting on Monday to finalize the power-sharing ‘formula’. A statement issued by the PML-N after the meeting said significant progress was made in talks with both sides stressing the need for a strong democratic government.

“The proposals put forward by both sides were thoroughly discussed, although substantial progress has been achieved, but further discussions are required to finalize the existing matters,” a joint statement said. Nawaz Sharif-led PML-N has nominated Shehbaz Sharif for the post of Prime Minister.

Candidates supported by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party won 93 out of 265 National Assembly seats. PML-N won 75 seats while PPP stood third with 54 seats. Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has also agreed to support with 17 seats. To form the government, 133 seats out of 266 are needed.
