Left’s question is on Rahul Gandhi’s claim from Wayanad seat, what will he get by fighting here…

Communist Party of India (CPI), a member of the ‘INDIA’ opposition alliance, has announced its candidate from Wayanad.

The special thing is that this seat is the parliamentary constituency of alliance partner Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Now with this decision of the Left, the discussion on possible seats for Rahul to contest has intensified.

Here, CPI candidate from Wayanad Annie Raja says that what will Congress or Rahul Gandhi gain by contesting from this seat?

While talking to Indian Express, Raja spoke openly on seat sharing in Kerala. He said that LDF has turned into UDF in the state for years and there is no INDIA alliance here.

In the year 2019 also, CPI had contested elections from Wayanad seat. Regarding contesting elections in front of Congress MP Rahul, he said that what will Congress or Rahul Gandhi get by contesting elections from Kerala.

‘Congress will have to think’
Raja said that at the national level, Congress and Left parties are fighting against fascist forces. He said that Congress also has many options for reserved seats, it can be in many places like Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka….

He asked that if we look at the bigger picture… then what is the politics of Congress? If they are really seriously fighting these fascist forces, then they need to think.

He said that we are not fighting from hundreds of seats, just from a few seats.

If not Wayanad, then from which seat will Rahul contest?
At present, the situation regarding Rahul’s seat has not been clarified by Congress. According to media reports, there are possibilities that instead of Wayanad seat in Kerala, Rahul may contest from any seat in Karnataka or Telangana. There is Congress government in both the states.

In 2019, Rahul had contested the assembly elections from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, but he had to face defeat at the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Smriti Irani.
