Is Maryam Nawaz, the first woman Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Punjab province, influenced by the policies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi? In fact, it is being claimed that the development plan presented by him seems to be similar to the economic policies of PM Modi. Maryam is the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif.
Amjad Ayub Mirza, an exiled human rights activist from PoK, has compared Nawaz’s development model with the Indian PM’s economic model.
According to news agency ANI, he said, ‘Smart cities, economic activities, markets for farmers and road networks, health system, all the things that Maryam wants to implement in her 5-year tenure is Modi’s economic model.’
Recently, after winning the elections, he presented a development plan for Punjab in his victory speech. She said that she will prepare policies to make Punjab an economic hub.
Mirza says, ‘But the question here is that without bureaucracy and deep state interference, how will the model that she wants to create succeed in Punjab.’
He said, ‘How will she face the military-industrial complex, the business of the army? They will not be happy with the growth of the private sector. Every region of Punjab is influenced by a strong military economy.
