Karnataka Police has registered a case under several sections against Mohammad Rasool Kaddare, accused of threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Mohammad Rasool had shared a video threatening him on Monday. In the video, he had reportedly said that ‘If Congress government is formed at the Centre, he will kill Modi.’

In the video the person is seen carrying a sword. Police have started a search at various places including Hyderabad to nab the accused Mohammad Rasool Kaddare.

According to news agency ANI, Mohammad Rasool posted a video on his social media account in which he is seen threatening to kill PM Modi with a sword.

An FIR has been registered against him under sections 505(1)(b), 25(1)(b) of the IPC and Arms Act at Surpur police station in Yadgiri.

Yadgiri police said, “An FIR has been registered against Mohammad Rasool Kaddare at Surpur police station. He had shared a video on social media in which he had threatened to kill PM Modi if the Congress government comes to power at the Centre. An FIR has been registered against him under sections 505(1)(b), 25(1)(b) of the IPC and Arms Act. Surpur police has started searching for the accused at various places including Hyderabad.”
