Two western disturbances are affecting the weather in India. They are likely to affect northwest India and the western Himalayan region from March 10.

The low pressure line is seen extending from Telangana to Comorin region passing through Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. Whereas, the second trough extends from Odisha to Andhra Pradesh.

IMD has said that heat may increase over Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal as well as Kerala and Mahe during the next 2 days.

According to the forecast, the day temperature is likely to be 2-3 degrees Celsius above normal.

According to the report released by the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on March 10.

There is also a possibility of snowfall in the hilly areas during this period.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh between March 11 and 14.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Uttarakhand between March 11 and 14.

There are chances of rain in some parts of Punjab between 12th and 14th March. At the same time, rain is possible in Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh on March 13 and 14.

IMD has said that light rain is also possible in Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim.
