After the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Canada wanted to show its arrogance to India.
Actually he trusted the Five Eyes group. However, despite making baseless claims, Canada could not gather any evidence regarding Nijjar’s murder.
It has been more than 9 months since Nijjar was murdered. India has stuck to its stand since the beginning. India every time said that if Canada provides necessary evidence then it will cooperate in the investigation.
However, till date Canada has not been able to take any concrete steps on this. Now the arrogance of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also seems to be disappearing.
He has said that Canada is ready to work constructively with India to get to the bottom of Nijjar’s murder.
It is clear from Canada’s stand that Justin Trudeau had made baseless allegations against India to seek small gains in his country’s politics.
Trudeau had said that Indian officials had a hand in Nijjar’s murder. After this, the tension between the two countries increased so much that each other’s diplomats were returned.
Khalistan supporters attacked the Indian Embassy there. Relations between the two countries have still not become normal.
Let us tell you that in June last year, Nijjar was murdered by unknown assailants in a Gurudwara in Suri. Answering media questions during an event, Trudeau said, Canada wants a proper investigation and the law should not be violated.
He said, we are ready to work together with the Government of India to get to the bottom of the matter. We have to understand how this can happen. We must ensure that there is never again foreign interference on Canadian soil.
When Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal was asked about Trudeau’s statement, he said that there is nothing new in it.
He said, India has already said that if solid evidence is found then full cooperation will be given in the investigation. However no evidence has been provided to date, only baseless claims have been made.
He said, we have to be careful because fundamentalists are being given space in Canada and the game of politics is being played.
Even after 9 months have passed since Nijjar’s murder, neither many arrests have been made in this case nor any evidence has been provided.
At the same time, India had formed a high-level team based on the inputs received from America in the case of conspiracy to murder Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Kahi.
The Indian government has not given any official statement regarding the investigation. It has been reported that an officer was removed from the intelligence agency by India.
