CBI has filed closure report in Air India lease scam case.
It was alleged that during the time of UPA government, there was a loss of about Rs 860 crore due to irregularities in the lease matter of Air India.
Now Congress says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologize to former PM Manmohan Singh. False allegations of corruption were made against the UPA government. Modi government should also apologize to the people of the country.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, this case has been closed only because of the alliance between Ajit Pawar group and Bharatiya Janata Party.
He said, in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used to go everywhere carrying the CAG report regarding this alleged scam.
A day before, CBI filed the closure report of the case as NCP’s Praful Patel joined BJP. They have become clean after being washed in the BJP’s washing machine.
He said, PM Narendra Modi should apologize to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and all the countrymen. He asked, on what basis were allegations made against Manmohan Singh? Incorrect facts were presented to serve their political interests.
